Andrew MurchisonAndrew has been in practice since 1993, training with an Edinburgh firm of solicitors. Before moving to practice in Inverness in 1998, he gained further experience in a general litigation firm in Perthshire. In 2003 Andrew started his own legal practice, where he focused on land related matters. These include both contentious and non-contentious crofting and agricultural matters, general commercial work and land acquisition and sale. Andrew was born and brought up in Inverness and studied at both Aberdeen and Edinburgh Universities. |

Rod MacleanRod specialises in Wills, Trusts & Executries and is involved in setting up trusts, advising on inheritance tax issues, arranging Powers of Attorney or where necessary Guardianships, preparing Wills and dealing with a wide range of executry issues. He also advises on legal issues relating to care of the elderly. He is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and also sits on the Council of the Scottish Law Agents Society. Rod was brought up in the crofting community of Gairloch in Wester Ross before studying law at Edinburgh University. He trained with Guild & Guild in Edinburgh and then specialised in Wills, Trusts and Executries with one of Edinburgh’s biggest firms before moving back to the Highlands in 2001. |

Murray McCheyneOriginally from the central belt of Scotland, Murray graduated from Aberdeen University in 1994. He trained and worked in the north east of Scotland before moving to Inverness in 2001. Murray has experience of dealing with a wide variety of contentious claims, including commercial debt recovery, building and construction law, professional negligence claims, all aspects of separation and divorce, employment, and of particular relevance to Murchison Law, cases concerning property and land, landlord and tenant, and agricultural and crofting cases in the Scottish Land Court. He also provides help to selected clients buying and selling property or land and is increasingly consulted about forming and operating charities. When not at work Murray likes to spend time with his growing family. He is involved in the formation of a new church in Inverness and is Vice Chairman of the Board of Governors of Highland Theological College. |

Ian TweedieIan was born and brought up in the Central belt of Scotland, graduating LL.B. from Glasgow University in 1971. He practised with a local firm, Munro & Noble from 1973 to 2011 where he was Senior Partner for a number of years. The last 35 years or so, have seen Ian concentrate almost exclusively on buying or selling property for clients. Together with providing a high quality of legal service, Ian regards integrity, confidentiality and trustworthiness in dealings with client’s affairs as of the utmost importance. Ian has been very happily married to Eleanor for over 40 years with one son and two grandchildren. He is a committed evangelical Christian and member at Culduthel Christian Centre, where he is one of the Elders and the church Secretary. He also enjoys playing golf whenever he can. |
